In view of the continuing precarious security situation in Yemen, this is to reiterate that all the Indian nationals residing in Yemen may leave the country immediately by whatever means available. The evacuation plan of the Government of India had started on 31 March 2015, both through air & sea (various ports of Yemen). This is to inform that evacuation by air will cease to operate after the operations on 9 April 2015. After that, any person desirous of using the evacuation plan of the Government of India will need to proceed to Al Hodeidah Port where the Indian ships will give service for another two days.

All the Indian nationals residing in Yemen are requested to kindly pay close attention to this notice. The Embassy of India will be suspending its functions temporarily after a few days.

If case any Indian national is in need of any travel document or need any other assistance from the Embassy of India, Sana’a, for departure from Yemen, he/she may contact the Embassy at the following helpline numbers:
